Jahez, the Riyadh-based food delivery company that went public in 2022, has struck a strategic partnership with e-commerce heavyweight noon.
The deal effectively merges two massive last-mile networks. Starting next month, users opening the Jahez app will find a new noon Minutes tile, giving them access to thousands of grocery and retail items stocked across noon’s growing network of dark stores. At the same time, noon’s app will now host Jahez’s food delivery, tapping into a fleet of couriers connected to more than 50,000 restaurants across 100 cities.
Both companies say the move is about speed, choice, and convenience. In reality, it’s also about domestic survival. The Saudi delivery space has become brutally competitive as players like HungerStation, Careem, and now Keeta fight for market share. noon, best known for its e-commerce dominance, has been trying to carve a space in “q-commerce”, while Jahez has been pushing beyond food into broader on-demand services.
“This partnership represents a pivotal step in Jahez’s evolution beyond food delivery,” said Ghassab Bin Mandeel, CEO of Jahez. “By combining noon’s quick commerce capabilities with our delivery network, we’re creating a unified ecosystem that delivers greater value, convenience, and selection.”
Faraz Khalid, noon’s CEO, put it more bluntly: “We’re building something bigger together – a faster, stronger, more connected commerce network for the Kingdom.”
The rollout starts in November, when noon Minutes goes live inside Jahez. Jahez’s food delivery feature will appear in the noon app by December. Users subscribed to Jahez Prime or noon One will keep their perks, including free delivery.
It’s a smart, if defensive, play. Rather than compete head-to-head, the two platforms are effectively linking their ecosystems to drive engagement, order frequency, and retention.
