AlgoDriven, the Dubai-based automotive AI and data platform, has been fully acquired by San Francisco-based Emergence in a 100% cash transaction valued between $10 million and $50 million. Emergence is backed by the family office of the Pritzker family, the billionaire dynasty behind the Hyatt hotel chain. Both co-founders will stay on for at least five years.
Founded in 2017 by Glenn Harwood and Jaron Crossland, AlgoDriven provides AI-powered software to car dealerships for appraising, valuing, and trading used cars. The company's flagship product, EvalExpert, issues information for any vehicle alongside enterprise services covering inventory and finance functions.
AlgoDriven is profitable and has grown revenue 5x since its 2021 Series A. It is the number one automotive software appraisal provider in both the MENA region and Australia, where one in every three used cars sold is analysed by its technology. Overall, the company values more than $25 billion worth of used cars annually across over 1,000 dealerships in 10 countries, working with brands including Toyota, Mercedes-Benz, Ferrari, BYD, Audi, and Volkswagen.
AlgoDriven raised $3 million across three rounds, with the Oman government's sovereign wealth fund as its largest backer. Other investors receiving an immediate cash exit include Global Ventures, 500 Global, Automotive Ventures, Oraseya Capital, and Social Capital. Harwood said the company had deliberately avoided large funding rounds to prevent equity dilution.
"This wasn't an acqui-hire or a deal brokered because we were struggling," said Harwood. "We're a profitable business but this was a natural fit and we liked their long-term vision."
Emergence will invest new capital into AlgoDriven to drive expansion into the US and Latin American markets and to deepen AI capabilities across the platform. The AlgoDriven brand will remain post-transaction. The deal is Emergence's fourth automotive data company acquisition in the past 18 months, following Pureinfluencer (September 2025), NYVUS (August 2025), and AutoHub (September 2024).
