Astra Nova, a Riyadh-based AI-focused Web3 entertainment and infrastructure firm, has raised $48.3 million to expand its suite of creator platforms and tokenised content tools across global markets.
The funding includes $41.6 million from a recent round and builds on earlier backing from Outlier Ventures, family offices, and institutional investors in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Bahrain.
Founded by Muhamed Ashhar and Faizy Ahmed, Astra Nova develops tools that allow creators to launch interactive blockchain-based experiences without technical expertise. Its flagship product, TokenPlay AI, is a no-code platform for building mini-apps, powered by Alibaba Cloud to help communities spin up interactive utilities at speed.
Other products include NovaToon, a Web3 webtoon platform that enables fans to co-create stories through NFTs, and Deviants: Fight Club, a Telegram-based PvP game integrating Astra Nova’s RVV token for in-game rewards. Its BlackPass on-chain engagement and loyalty program has already attracted more than 250,000 users globally.
With the new funding, Astra Nova plans to accelerate product development, expand its team, and grow into new markets across the Middle East, Europe, and Asia. It is also preparing for regulatory compliance as it scales its global presence.
The company has forged strategic partnerships with NEOM, NVIDIA Inception, and Alibaba Cloud to support adoption and growth.
